Tree Decorating
We decorated our Christmas tree tonight and once again I think that it turned out really cute. Emily loved going through all the boxes and finding new stuff to play with. So far she has done pretty well with not touching. It has only been a few hours and she is in bed now but hopefully the rest of the season will go well. So far we are only down one ornament and hopefully that will be all. But in all fairness it wasn't Em's fault that it broke. I had it in my hand and asked her to help me hang it up and as she got up to help me she bumped my arm and it fell out of my hand.
After we were done with the tree decorating we all got our Christmas jammies on and cuddled on the couch together and watched Mickey Mouse Christmas by the lights of the tree.
When I was growing up I always thought it would be neat to have my own Christmas tree in my room but I never got one. We had a small fake tree from a few years ago and decided that it would be fun to put it in her room. I turned off all the lights in her room and when she walked in she loved it. She kept saying "wow, wow"!
I think that Emily is going to be so much fun this Christmas with how dramatic she is when she see new things and gets all excited about it.

That's such a great picture. What filter/effect/parlor trick did you use to make it look so cool?
After the Mickey Mouse Christmas special did you watch either the Muppet Christmas Carol or the Star Wars Holiday Special?
Of course it isn't really Christmas until you've both put up your tree *and* watched Mickey Mouse Christmas. Nice photo, by the way.
