Happy Halloween
We had a very busy but very fun Halloween. My wonderful, talented sister decided that it would be so cute to dress Hope, Anna and Emily up as Strawberry Shortcake characters. Being the crafty person that she is she decided that she could make the girls costumes (with no pattern). She worked long and hard on them and they turned out so cute. We were all excited to take them out for a little photo shoot during the day and then show them off that night at church. The morning of the big day Alicia calls me and says that Anna's eye is swollen shut and that she is taking her to the doctor. She calls me a bit later and it was confirmed that Anna had pink eye and she shouldn't be around the kids. Seeing as Anna was Strawberry Shortcake we kinda needed her so that others could figure out what Hope and Emily were. It turned out that not a lot of people asked what she was because they really didn't even have a guess.
She wanted nothing to do with the hat and the only way I was going to get some pictures of her in it was to occupy her with a lollipop for a bit. After the night was over she ended up consuming only about 4 pieces of candy but that was enough to get her wired. She loved playing the games at trunk or treat. Someone would give her 3 balls to put in a bucket and she would throw one and then put out her hand for a piece of candy, then she would throw another ball and put out her hand again, then the last ball for one more piece of candy. I guess she figured out how to get the most candy out of a game.
Next week sometime we are going to dress the girls up again and get some pictures of them together.
We are on the coast this weekend enjoying some family time. Providing the weather is fairly decent tomorrow we are going to the zoo and the beach. Can't wait to her some good pictures of Em's first time at the zoo. I think she is going to love it.
Here are a few pictures of Emily dressed up as Mint Tulip. Strawberry Shortcake and Raspberry Tart with be pictured next week

Well, it kinda makes sense that Strawberry Shortcake would have pink eye. It's good that Mint Tulip did not get green eye. That's VERY contagious. Thanks for the photos.
Super cute! Alicia is super talented. Can't wait to see them all together.
I'm not really sure what the connection is between a strawberry flavored shortcake and a mint flavored tulip is? Are you supposed to eat them?
Hey my word verification word is "blesses" I think that is funny. Anyway. I can not wait to see them all dressed up. I am glad everything ended up fitting.
By the way Speed Deal or No Deal is way more fun to watch!
Glad you had a blast at the coast!
