Belated 4th pictures
I had originally thought I would take Emily's 4th of July pictures at the lighthouse in Crescent city because I thought it would be a cool background. Well, when we got there it was way to cold to even think about putting a sundress on her. I decided just to take some at home when we got back. Somedays she says mom take my picture but on most days she wants nothing to do with the camera. Trying to get her to look at me I am sure is amusing as I try and act as stupid as possible to get her to smile. Someday maybe she will be mommy's little model and let me practice on her without me having to chase her, play peek-a-boo behind the camera, making funny noises, or do a happy little dance just for a smile.
It is looking like the Navy thing is very close to being reality for our family. I am excited and nervous about it. God has been working in our lives these past few weeks and it seems this is the route he wants us to take. Please continue to pray for us has we have a lot of decisions to make very soon.
We have been enjoying many evenings swimming at Justin and Katie's and Emily loves it. Although I think she has been enjoying her picins that she gets to have when we go over there a little more. Katie bought Em some cute little pink goggles and some rafts to float the other day and she loves to wear the goggles. She looks so cute just kickin back on her raft with her floaties on sportin the pink goggles. I really should take my camera next time and get some pictures.
Weight loss/exercise update:
In an attempt to encourage me and help me be successful with my goals Katie invited me over to swim laps while her and Em play in the water. So a few weeks ago we measured the length of the pool and figured out how many laps I should swim. I wish I would have realized a long time ago how much I enjoy swimming laps. I much prefer it to running. I have not given up on running but while it is so stinkin hot here I am going to swim. I started out swimming about 1/3 of a mile and last night I did a 1/2 mile. I love it and it is a very good workout. The pounds have not been melting off like I dreamed they would but I only have 1/2 pound to go to reach my first goal.
