Pickin

I love picnics! I especially love going to the mountains to have a picnic. Something about driving up to the mountains where there are plenty of trees, water, eating outside and fresh cool air just makes me happy. We have been on a few picnics at local parks and Emily loves it. She call them pickins. She has really been into pretend play lately and will often spread out her blanket grab her tea pots (which she calls honey pots) her her play food and say come on mom have a picnic. Since I have been wanting to take a picnic to the mountains we decided that Sunday was a good day for it. So along with Neil, Alicia, Anna and Abby we headed to Dunsmuir for a picnic. The park there was beautiful. The girls had a great time eating outside, playing on the swings and tossing rocks in the river. I can't wait to enjoy more picnics this summer. Hopefully we will be able to go to the falls next time.
