Did you know...

...that we live in one of the top 10 neighborhoods of 2008. It's true...well according to Cottage Living magazine it's true. Way back in September I saw some photographers in our neighborhood taking pictures and I thought for sure it was something for our local paper so I ignored them when they came to the door and knocked. I hadn't had a shower yet and I really didn't have the desire to be in the paper. Fast forward to later that day...Justin was watching Emily and was outside playing with her when the photographers came around again and asked if he wouldn't mind posing with Emily for some pictures with our neighbor. When he told me about it after I got home from work that the photographers were from Cottage Living magazine I was bummed I ignored them. I mean being in the local paper is one thing but how cool to be in a national magazine. So today I found the magazine on the news stand and quickly looked for the article. After flipping past some of the top 10 neighborhoods I came to ours and was kinda bummed (okay really bummed) that Emily's picture didn't make the cut. I did however go to the website and watched the video of our neighborhood and I saw my beautiful baby girl in the front yard posing with Justin and our neighbor. Mind you that it is not a good picture but hey at least she was on the website.
I was noticing that pictures can sure make something look a lot better then it actually is. Don't get me wrong our neighborhood is very nice with cute houses and a beautiful tree lined street, but they didn't mention the fact that you have to drive through a very ghetto area to get here.
