An Open House Just for You

For the many family members that couldn't make it to our open house here is one via pictures just for you. We had a great time last night and amazingly enough were had 36 people in our house at one time. Kayla and Justin came over early and were able to help me put out the last few things of food and hang up a few pictures (thanks guys). Zachary made it home from Purhump just in time to have a shower before people started arriving. I can't believe I got everything put away this week while he was gone. Thanks to my sister for coming over and helping me hang pictures and moving heavy boxes. I was worried that I wouldn't get it all done because I did something to my back on Wednesday and I couldn't hardly move that day or the next. After a couple trips to the chiropractor I am feeling alot better and am able to move freely now. The last picture is of my shelf that I painted and distressed. It was my first attempt at doing this and I am very happy with the results. (despite what you say Jeremy) The Americana room is where all our visitors will sleep. It's all ready for you so come on over. I really like how my collage of pictures turned out too. It was fun putting that together. Well, enjoy our open house and stay for as long as you like!

I had aa shelf that was distressed also, but I think I have calmed it down now. No, I am serious. It was barely hanging on. I rented Pink Floyd's The Wall for it, but the DVD player broke. Cute house. Next time, get one with a bathroom.

I hate cleaning bathrooms so I figured what's the point of having one. There are plenty of porta potty's around the job site here.

I loved your house! I especially loved that lamp, way to go on doing the beads yourself.

The shelf never did anything to you and you had to go and beat it up with Zach's good hammer. Take a perfectly good shelf that was a nice wood color and beat the crap out of it just to DISTRESS it. I think TRAUMATIZED would be more like it. The poor shelf. Look out Zach next it could be the TV that looks to new or the computer, or heaven forbid, YOU. Keep the hammers away from the girls. If she had used her hammer that is hanging on the fridge then it might not have traumatized the shelf so bad. Any way I guess this is supposed to be a comment not a book so later, Jeremy

Your house is darling. I know you had such fun decorating and you did a great job. I have that Eifel tower lamp but mine has a plain old black shade. It is, however, the same shape as yours, but just not as fancy. My lamp wants beads now!

Your place is SOOOO cute, and so clean! I love it! :) I really can't wait to come stay in my Americana room. Hopefully in March when I come up for Liz's wedding...is it reserved at all??
Anyway, great job decorating, wish we could've been at the open house!!

I appreciate you adding the pause option to your song. Not that I didn't like it but it just made it hard to listen to my music on itunes and look at blogs all at the same time. Now I will visit your blog much more often.
