They once were lost,
but now their found, I was blind, but now I see. Okay let me tell you the story. I went to Sacramento this last weekend for the scrapbook convention (which was a blast by the way) and when I got home I realized that I left my eye glasses in the hotel room. The ironic thing is that the rest of the girls were saying how they didn't have to search all over the room for kid stuff because they were kidless for the weekend. So I call the hotel when I got home and they said that they were not in lost and found but if I called in the morning I could check with housekeeping. So I did that and no they didn't have them. I asked if they could go look in the room because I was certain that they must have fallen in the couch as that is were I was sleeping that night. They said that they couldn't do that and that they had cleaned it well and they were not there. After that I called the manager and left 3 messages for her to call me back with no response. So I decide to go on my scrapbook website and go to the message board to see if anyone who lived in that area would be willing to go and look for me. Well, this very nice lady who lived on the other side of town said she would. So she goes there and they tell her that there are people in the room and that she could go look if she wanted to but, they can't because there are people in it. Which I thought was very strange. So she decided that she would kill some time on that side of town and go back after checkout. When she got there the manager finally went up and looked for her and as I suspected found them in the couch. So she took them home and is going to send them to me. How awesome is that!! A complete stranger was willing to help me out like that. There are nice people in this world!!
Edited: Okay so she just sent me an e-mail of the glasses and they were the wrong ones. Bummer!!. Not sure what I am going to do now.

That stinks about your glasses, but on the other hand, that lady was pretty nice to do that for you, on the other hand the people she stole the glasses from are probably not going to be so happy. That's already three hands, I guess I'll stop now.
I think the saddest part of that story is that don't have a photo of them. Otherwise, you could create a scrapbook page about them and remember them in perpetuity. Or even in Redding. And I talked to the nice lady. Kayla was wrong. She didn't steal the glasses. They were her old ones and she was trying to get rid of them. She didn't even go back to that hotel. Shameful.
Crazy uncle you are so thinking like a scrapbooker. I do have pictures of me in my glasses. So you never know I might do a page just cause you suggested it.
I think it is very suspicious that there were glasses in the exact couch you slept on and they were not yours. That must be a glass-eating sofa. I've heard of this sort of thing before and it is very dangerous. Mostly I'm sad that you cannot see. I cannot see very well myself and I lose my glasses quite often. Mine are the $10 kind at Steinmart though so I just go get some more. All my friends have the same kind and lose theirs too. We are the presbyoptic ones.
You know, I work in optical, so I am surrounded by glasses. Not quite sure how this helps, just thought I'd let you know.
I don't know if it's the proper blogging etiquette, but to answer your question, the big "W" on Walker's nursery wall is from Pottery Barn.
Actually, the "W" is from PB kids, although kudos to Abe for knowing that it was from a Pottery Barn extension!
Hey, Denise, wasn't someone in the WBI thinking of becoming presbyoptic? Cool.
Bumer about the glasses, I'm thinkin' that the lady IS very nice. But it's still a bummer that they weren't even the right ones! What was the scrapbooking thing like? Did you mention where it was and I just missed it?
