1st trip to the dentist
Em had her first trip to the dentist the other day! She did great and had no cavities! She did say that the toothpaste they used to clean her teeth tasted kinda nasty and didn't want to use that kind again. The dentist was great with her and mentioned to her that she might want to think about not sucking her thumb anymore because it will make her teeth worse. So without any prodding from us she has been remembering to take her thumb out of her mouth when she notices that she is sucking it. Then as soon as she does she asks if her teeth are still ok. She might make this easy on us yet! Now if we can just get her sister to quite soon that would be great! It is funny how as soon as we lay Clara down her thumb just pops right into her mouth. I know it is so bad but it is so cute too!

You know, Emily, when I go to the dentist, I always wear my star glasses, too.
Was it hard for Em to stop her thumb-sucking habit? My daughter used to suck her thumb and that made her teeth crooked. At first it was hard for us to stop her habit. But with consistent reminders, she got used to it. Now, her teeth are super gorgeous!
