Fair winds and Following Seas
Zachary, Emily and I have been so blessed by the friendship of Matt and Sarah. It seems hard to believe that we only met 8 short months ago while we were all in Pensacola. When we left Pensacola we had no idea that they too would be stationed in Lemoore with us. And when I got a text from Sarah a few weeks after we left that they would be in Lemoore in about a month I am pretty sure I screamed a little with excitement. It was the last place they wanted to be stationed but we are so glad that God sent them here for the next few years with us. Over the last few months our friendship has grown so much! Matt is a talented guitar player and Sarah along with playing the piano has a beautiful voice. Many nights they come over and Zachary, Matt and Sarah play and sing worship songs together while Em dances. They love Emily and Emily loves them along with their pets Q-tip and Maggie. She loves to go over to their house to play with them and we are thankful she can get her animal fix over there.
Recently Matt left on his first deployment and we had to say good-bye for a time. To say it was hard is a gross understatement. We will miss him terribly and look forward to the day we can all be back together singing again! It is nice to know that come next summer he will be back when Zachary has to leave and Emily, I and the baby won't be as lonely.
We will take care of Sarah for you Matt while you are away and know that you are constantly in our prayers!! Fair Winds and Following Seas Matt!!!

Reading this post made me think how much we have to appreciate today for what it is, because life keeps changing on us. Last year at this time you were here, and so much has changed for you guys too in just one year.
We'll be praying for your friends, as we pray for you and for all the military families in our country.
Beautiful photos!
I love the post, but what does Matt look like???
Your post helps remind us of the families left behind when a soldier is away, especially for an extended time. However, it is possible that Matt will be home very soon since it seems Sarah kept his boots.
