Urban Shoot
So last week Cabud (uncle Caleb) and Auntie Lauri came up to hang out before they head off to college. We all had a great time hanging out together and Emily especially loved all the extra attention. Lauri and Katie convinced me to go on a run with them and it was actually a lot of fun. Not that Katie and Lauri aren't fun it was just the run that I was worried about. They have been running much longer than I and I was a little worried that I would not be able to keep up. They let me set the pace and I actually ran the whole distance with them. I was pretty excited as I had not run that long since I started up running again. Since then I have kept up with my running and have increased the mileage by a bit and have knocked some time off my runs too. I plan on keeping up my runs on vacation too. The only thing is that I have to get up about 5:30 because it is just way too hot here in Phoenix to run any later. Oh, and by the way we decided to take a last minute vacation to visit Zachary's Phoenix family before he heads off to boot camp. I can't believe that it is only 4 weeks away until he leaves. Crazy, scary, exciting, new adventure all rolled into one. Please keep us in your prayers as God leads us down this new road.
I have also been wanting to try an urban type photo shoot and I thought Katie and Lauri would love to be my models. They were not sure what an urban shoot was and I told them it would be very different setting from the usual but they were all for it. We had such a great time and I was able to try some new things with my camera. I really want to use my camera more than just shooting in auto mode and this was great practice. I have come a long way from when I first got my camera and almost always use my settings to get the shot I want but I have a lot to learn still. We took a ton of pictures so here are just a few of my favorites.

Brenda,
Thank you for sharing your blog with me!
I am so impressed with your urban photo shoot! You have a great eye for interesting backgrounds that don't detract from your subjects. Very cool shots!
Praying that all is well with the sale of the house.
