Vacation (part 3)

For the last part of our vacation we decided to head home up 101 instead of I-5. Alicia and I wanted to take the girls to the Beach and also stop by Solvang (a cute little Dutch town). Since my parents grew up in Southern California they knew of a lot of beaches in the area that were nice. We ended up stopping in Santa Barbara for a few minutes to take some pictures on the beach. When we got there Emily was sound asleep and she wasn't feeling very good so being the good mom that I am I let her sleep and skipped out on taking pictures of her at the beach. We did get some cute ones of Anna though.


We also stopped by Solvang to do a little window shopping and to eat lunch. As a kid our family stopped here a lot on our way home from southern California. It is a town that my parents visited a lot while dating and where they got engaged too. It was fun to walk around it gave Emily a chance to get out of the car seat for a bit. The ride home was a little rough. Emily got a cough and had a hard time falling asleep because she kept on coughing. I am pretty sure that she was just ready to be home and in her own bed. We finally arrived home at 1:30 Wednesday morning and Em slept until 11:30. She was exhausted! We had a great trip with many, many fun memories and the pictures to prove it :)
