Happy Thanksgiving
Since August Heather and I have been training to run the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day. I had originally thought that it was a 5K but after looking into it I found out it was a 6 mile run. Just the thought of running 6 miles made me exhausted so we decided that we would run 3.2 miles and then walk the rest. Our goal was not to place but just to say that we ran that far. When we first started training I could barely run 60 seconds without being exhausted. I would never have thought that I could even run 3 miles let alone 6. Justin suggested that we try and do the 6 miles but I just laughed at him. Then a few weeks ago we thought why not give it a try. So we lengthened our run. Well, I am happy to say that we did it!!! I can not believe that we finished the 6 mile run. We didn't come in 1st by any means but we didn't come in last either. We both are so excited that we did this and are now going to train to run a race in the Bay area.
For Thanksgiving dinner we went over to my mom's and had a great feast. We gave Emily her very own Turkey leg. I don't think she knew what to do with it though. After playing with it for a time I gave her mashed potato's and green bean casserole for the first time and she loved them. She had a great 1st Thanksgiving!!
She is so close to crawling now. She can get up on all fours but she isn't quite sure what to do once she gets up. I am guessing by Christmas that she will be all over the place and we will be having to keep her from the presents under the tree. Tomorrow we are off to get our tree up in the mountains. I am hoping for some snow up there so that she can play in it.

She's the cutest thing ever! Hope you have fun getting your tree!
Congratulations! I looked up your results, and want to know why it lists Heather as 34? I know she's not younger than me ! ;)

Congratulations on your amazing accomplishment!! I'm totally jealous. I know I couldn't do it. Anyway, your kid's cute. Oh and when you decide to run your marathon in the bay area, you can totally count on me to come and cheer!
Brenda=668 and Heather= 669!!! What did you do Brenda? Trip Heather at the finish line so you could be in front of her!!! Great Job!!
That is cool that you guys ran in the Turkey Trot. I was running in the Dallas one at the same time! What race are you guys thinking of training for next? Oh, and of course...what a cute baby girl!
Nice pics. Thanks for sharing. I do have one question. Why are you taking your tree up into the mountains (Tomorrow we are off to get our tree up in the mountains)? Why not just get one there?
Congratulations on your marathon! Emily looks adorable as usual. I love when they are learning to crawl, it's such a fun stage!
I am so sad I missed taking pics of you crossing the finish line. I am so proud of you guys. I got tired just reading about you running.
