All too soon
This last week Justin and Zachary put in a closet organizer in Emily's closet. I had been wanting to do this before she was even born and in fact I had a gift certificate to make it but time just got away from us and we just now got around to it. As I was putting things back in her closet I came upon my wedding dress and veil and thought it would be cute to put it on Emily and take some pictures. And then the thought struck me that all too soon she will be putting on her own veil and her daddy will be walking her down the aisle to marry the man of her dreams. ( I must admit the thought made me a little teary eyed) Almost daily someone tells me that we need to enjoy the time we have with her now while she is little because in the blink of an eye she will be off on her own. We pray that the values and faith that we are teaching her will guide her as she grows up and that one day she will put her faith in Jesus Christ. She turned 7 months old on Sunday and it really is hard to believe how fast time is flying by. She is a constant joy and I can believe how much love I have for her.
After Emily was born I realized even more how hard it was for God to give up his only Son to die on the cross for our sins. I am sure that I could never put any of my children through that. And then for people to still deny that God doesn't love them is just unbelievable to me.

My baby is the best! Both babies!
What's with trying to make me cry?!? I don't even have a baby!! :)
She looks adorable as always. I think y'all are amazing parents and I can say from experience that I truly believe the saying about that if you raise your children in the Lord, they will ultimately follow Him.
Love all 3 of y'all SO much!!
Those are cute photos. I am guessing that she is only wearing the veil and that is NOT the outfit you wore for your wedding, right? Thanks for posting them.
Yes, all of us parents agree that you need to enjoy your kids while you can. Which is NOT to say that you won't enjoy them when they are older, but the formative years are precious memories.
They grow up so fast!!! It's unbelieveable! Cute pictures!
What a nice post Brenda. But honestly, tell me you didn't have her wedding slide show in mind when you took those pictures. When I attend her wedding (and I will) I'm going to look for those pictures and then I'll remind you of this post :)
Thanks for the teary eyes! Precious little girl!
I think the shirt she is wearing to perfect! I hope Anna is as smiley as Emily. It is so fun to get Emily to smile!
I am posting this comment from my MacBook! How cool is that!
