Christmas tree hunt '06
We went off to the mountains on Saturday with our church family to find a few Christmas trees. There wasn't as much snow this year but it was plenty cold up there at 8000 ft. Hope had a great time driving Zachary's truck but she wanted full control of the wheel. Any time Zachary took over so that we could make the turn she was quick to push his hands away. She made sure everything worked in the truck too. From the windshield wipers, the signals, the gear shift and the windows she tried them all plus a few more. Once we made it to our destination and she was all bundled up in her cute pink snowsuit she had fun sampling the snow. Most of the girls stayed by the warm fire drinking hot chocolate while the boys went to look for trees. (We decided not to do a tree this year. Mostly because I don't feel like getting everything out and then putting it away again. I want to focus on Emily's room instead.) Everyone found great trees and we had a great day enjoying the beauty of God's creation. On the way down the mountain (after dark mind you) only a few trucks slid on the ice. In was nerve racking but we all made it down safe and sound. Here are a few pictures for your enjoyment.

Yippee! I am the first commenter. It looks like y'all had a good time. We haven't gotten a tree yet, but probably will next weekend or so. It's funny to see y'all all bundled up in the snow. It's about 75-79* here...not so cold.
I want you to post a pic where I can actually see how pregnant you are!
That was not Jay. That was Bean.
OOPS!
This is Jay. Looks fun. Oh how I do miss the mountains. I just saw the "Hill Country" of Texas, which was nice, but nothing compared to Lassen or Shasta.
I was wondering how the cuss you got three comments already when I only missed it by forty minutes! Looks like y'all had fun and one of these days we're gonna have to go with y'all. P.S. I thought about leaving it with Lauri's thing but I decided against it.
Hey! For once Katie forgot to change the user name thing but I didn't! Those are some really cute pictures. :) Hope is adorable. (But I think Emily will be cuter!!!!) I was wondering what the deal was, because I didn't think Justin would be telling you to post a picture showing us how pregnant you are. That was kind of funny. I'm glad you had fun!
Looks like a lot of fun. The snow is always a good time. I'm with jay, you should change your profile pic to a pregnant looking one.
Gorgeous! Glad you had fun. Lookes like it was pretty cold though.
You can just set my presents in the middle of the room since you won't have a tree to put them under.
So beautiful and fun! It looks like Zachary is doing a great job practicing to be a father of a daughter!
Wow, you are blowing me away in the comments field, but I think you should try a video blog now!
Well I don't want to be left out of the commenting, so I thought I would add my 2 cents. I'm going to need copies of your pics. Those are so cute! Did anyone else notice that that was Faith in the front of the group picture. She looks just as tall as the rest of us, not like a 10 year old!
