Feeling Crafty
I have been feeling crafty lately and decided to try my hand at a few things. I had been wanting a summer purse and thought it would be fun to make a cute one. So got some fabric and this is my result. I think that it turned out pretty cute and now all my family wants one. Good thing there are alot of birthdays coming up. The next project is my patriotic front door sign. I had seen the idea somewhere and we needed to make a new seasonal display at work so I thought I would give it a try. We are trying to show some ideas on how to use scrapbook other then just pages. My sister had the idea to buy stakes instead of cutting each piece myself. So I head off to Home Depot. Let me say I don't like this store at all. To me all Home Depots have a distinct odor and I don't think it is a pretty one . They also have the worst customer service ever. First I go to the garden area thinking that is where the stakes would be and she had no idea what I was talking about and decided to call someone and they sent me clear to the opposite end of the store to building materials. Then after looking in that area for awhile and finding no one to ask and decide to go up to the register and ask the girl up there. She says, "oh, those are in the garden dept." I said that I was just there and they sent me over here. So I decide to go to customer service and they tell me to go to the back of the store and they are on an end cap. After I go back there I find some and I had to squeeze behind a bunch of stuff and finally was able to get some. They were only $.13 so that made it worth it. ( I can't wiat until our Lowes opens soon) All in all I think that it turned out pretty cute. The last picture is of my adorable niece and her cute bib that we got for her. We are looking forward to our vacation on Thursday and to seeing all the family. I have all my scrapbook stuff packed and ready to go. Now I just hope the airline doesn't loose it.
