The wrong impression

List 5 or more false impressions you give people when you first meet them.
(I was reading some other blogs that I frequent and thought I would give this a try)

-that I'm younger than I really am, which is a great misconception and one I hope continues, hehe. I guess it helps that I married someone who is 6 years younger then me.
-I'm always being told "Smile!". This drives me crazy, especially when strangers feel they need to tell me to smile. I'm not telling them to stop acting like a dork, so leave me alone. It's not a frown, and I'm not unhappy just because I'm not smiling at that very moment. Goodness, if I had a permasmile on my face, my cheeks would hurt! I really dislike that those who don't know me well assume that something is drastically wrong just because I'm not smiling. Do you smile...constantly?
-that I weigh less than I actually do. I'm like a cheese burger, large fry, chocolate cake, and a couple of Venti Lattes away from skinny, but being 5'10 helps hid it a little.
-that I have kids, customers at work are always asking how many kids I have, I guess they think that just because I scrapbook I must have kids.
-that I am confident, not sure if that is a good thing or not. Truth is I have no confidence and am always worried what people are thinking of me.
Well, now you know some things that aren't me.

That's a good idea for a post! The smiling thing must get old fast. Especially from strangers. Maybe if people feel the need to tell you that, you *should* tell them to stop acting like dorks! :)
Your first one reminds me of a story, so I think I'll put it on my blog. Thanks!

People always think I am way younger than I am as well. But I'm with you, that is a great misconception! When I waited tables in college (so I was at least 20), people used to always ask if I was old enough to have a job!

Wait, you don't have kids?? Does that mean I should stop answering that 530 area code call who keeps calling me "Auntie Eisel"? :)

Uh oh. I always tell people to smile, even if they scrapbook, aren't confident, don't have kids, are over 5'9", and are only 17 1/2. Oh well. Smile, Brenda.

Good post. I've thought up five for you. Enjoy!

1. That i'm a model, I know it's a possibility because i'm so ridiculously good looking but it's just not my style to show it off.

2. That i'm 18. Nobody really thinks that but one time while checking out at target the checker asked me about a credit card.

3.That i'm a bodybuilder. It's not really true but it must be because of my ridiculously large muscles. Misconceptions can be good!

4. That I have kids. Just because I scrapbook so much they assume that I have kids. Gosh!

5. That I weigh less than I actually do, I can't see why. I guess being 6'3" helps to make me look like even more of a stick than I do already. I'm like a cheeseburger, large fry, chocolate cake, and a couple of venti lattes away from not looking like I have an eating disorder.

All in all it was a clever post. I never would have thought of it. I always put stupid crap like chuck norris facts on my blog.

Hey about the rain, Washington rains alot. I hear kinda like England. Not that I'd ever visit you guys if you lived up there in a place that rainy, but hey, just an idea.
Oh but wait, it rains in San Antonio, and I mean A LOT! You guys should move here. It hasn't stopped raining in days..... or was that it hasn't rained in days. I don't know, I'm alittle confused, but it sure is nice here.

Not saying that you don't smile, but just for myself, the only problem with not smiling is that people classify me with typical teenage surlyness which is kind of a bummer. So is Venti the big one?

I along with everyone else who commented know what you mean about the smiling. What do you mean you don't have any confidence? It obviously takes some kind of confidence to do a post like such.

You have time to nap but no time to post? I'm confused. Hey that's another wrong impression, you sleep too much.
