Please help me decide!!
Okay, so this is my dilemma. I have found the bookcase that I want at world market but it comes in two colors and I can't decide which one will look the best. I am going with the old world decor in my library area and I am getting an overstuffed leather chair to put in there eventually. The bookcase will go where the little bookcase is now in the picture. The computer desk is black and dark wood and the walls are a roasted almond color and I have white trim. Which bookcase would look the best? A black distressed one or a dark wood one. I am partial to the black one but I just don't know if it would look the best. Does black wood and brown leather go together? If you have any interior design knowledge as to what would look good it would be most helpful.

You know I trust your interior design knowledge more than my own, but for what it's worth...
My personal opinion says I like the dark brown one better. However, I think that the black one would easily match the rest of your decor. Is your leather chair going to be a rich, dark brown? If so, that would be perfect, as your desk is black and dark brown. Plus, you like the black one better. So I say go for the black.

I agree. I actually have black bookcases and a brown leather chair in our study. I didn't plan it that way. Both chairs wouldn't fit in the living room so one got banished to the study. But it looks good. I'll send you a picture. What's your email?
Wow, I expected Kayla to have left a comment by now! Even though I don't know much about interior designing myself, I would suggest the brown. But hey, it's your house, and it's gonna look cute no matter what, since you're the one decorating!
Finnaly the comment I know you have been waiting for. I would go with the brown one because I really don't like black and brown together, in fact I can't stand it, so if you are going to replce the black bookcase with the brown one, I say nice choice. I am usually more prone to pick black because it is more functional but in this case go with the brown because mixing nuetrals rarely works out.
I think it is distressing that you are even asking this, so I go for the distressed one...whichever color it is.
I'm no designer but I'd go for the black one. You seem to have a thing for destroying furniture so It would be nice If you had matching peices.
I looked at the question about which color to get and without reading the rest of the blog, I'd go for the brown one 110%.
I am not sure exactly where to get one. I checked the Baylor bookstore but they only had one. I'd look on the internet but you can probably expect to pay $35-40. Why does he want it?
I like the black one better. I always say that you should buy the one you like the look of best because then when it's time to move to another room in the house, you still like the bookcases. I think black furniture goes great with brown leather. If you remember, my whole house is pretty much black and brown!
Also, I think Aaron and I might be going to Waco soon if you want us to look for a hoodie for Zachary. Lindsay's right, they're usually around $40.
