Back to Normal
Can't believe that we finally have internet now. I fear that today I will get nothing done around the house. Although I did tell Zachary that I would get the second bedroom cleaned up while he was at work. So I suppose that I should do that. Here is a cute picture of our little neighborhood. I love it so much. Ours is the one in the back. Yesterday as I went out to get the mail some little girls were out riding there bikes and I heard one of then comment that it looks like a storybook neighborhood. We have already had four bar-b-que's on our front porch. I will post more pictures of the inside as I get stuff decorated. Zachary has been so handy around the house. He made my pantry shelves first thing and it is fabulous. Yesterday he put shelves in the garage and organized it. I finally found sheets for our bed and get this I got a flat, fitted and two pillow cases for our eastern king for only $37. They are 250 thread count as well. The pillow cases are coming in the mail next week so I will get pictures when it is all decorated. I think I will go to world market to buy accent pillows with some of the birthday gift cards.
Well today is Sunday and I still haven't updated yet. So, I am hoping to finish this and post it so you guys can know a little bit more about what we are doing. I went to the pumpkin patch today with my nieces and nephew and got a few pumpkins for my front porch. It is so much fun to be able to decorate a little. I still have yet to do anything in the house because I want to get the boxes out of the way before I start hanging stuff. My sister and I are having a garage sale in a few weeks to get rid of some more junk. It is amazing how much stuff you can accumulate in such a short period of time. I thought that I got rid of stuff before we moved but there is a ton more. Oh, yes about the blind guy. I had two come and give an estimate and they were both around $1200 then we went to Home Depot and found them there for around $280. Zachary has to install them but with that big of a savings who cares. Once again I am thankful that he is so handy. Here is another picture of the completely broke but happy new homeowners!!
P.S. Since other people were putting kissing pictures up and I am pretty sure we are not in that "old" category of it being disgusting yet I decided that we too needed to have one in our profile.

I was going to tell you I liked your new picture before I read your blog and now my compliment will make sense. I'm glad you got 250 thread count sheets and that you counted the threads to make sure you weren't getting jipped. You did count the threads didn't you? I guess I won't move, if eating dinner at my house means so much to you.
Oh Brenda!! I love your house. It's soooooo cute. I wish I was there. No really, I really really wish I was there!! Will you come get us all, (including Katie) And bring us so we can see it? I wish. Well, congradulations anyway.
You had a blind guy do an estimate!!! Well no wonder he gave you such a high quote even I could tell you that he was just guessing since he was BLIND.

Your house looks really nice! Congrats again.
Your house looks really nice! Congrats again.
Oh yeah? Well, I put some shelves in the garage, too, but then Kathie said I had to hang them on the wall. Wait a minute! I thought you said put shelves in the garage and I did that!
So now, ZKW is a blind guy. I guess he will not be saying "Here's looking at you, kid" anytine soon. On the plus side, he can keep hanging the window coverings even at night in case you want to go on to bed and don't want the lights on.
I was having a nice time BBQing the other night, but then the homeowners came back and I had to retrn to our house. I hope they enjoyed my burgers. I did take the sauce, though. That'll teach 'em.
So, it seems 250 threads is enough to create a whole sheet? The pillow cases get their own 250 threads? Or can they create all of that stuff you said with only 250 threads? Isn't technology amazing?
Congrats on your little picture-perfect neighborhood and your pumpkinated porch.
Hey Marla,
Your house/neighborhood look super cute! We got your invitation to the housewarming party, wish we could come, but we will be moving to San Antonio that day.
Can't wait to come see your new house sometime!
Love you,
Bean
So, so cute! I wish we could see it in person. Your invitation is darling too. That really is quite a deal on the sheets. I can hardly wait to see the final results of all your creativity. Send pictures. Hurry!
